What To Wear For Engagement Photos!
If you’re like me choosing an outfit is such a daunting task but it doesn’t have to be! Here are my top tips to rock your engagement session! I’ve put together this list to make sure that choosing your engagement session outfits is a breeze & that you feel sexy and confident in what you’re wearing. The most important thing to me is that you feel comfortable! This is a list of tips I’ve compiled from trial and error and my experience being in the wedding industry the past three years. Let’s do this!
1. Keep it simple!
The simpler the better! You should feel comfortable in the outfits you wear. Make sure you can move well in them. You want to look like yourself! Don’t feel like you have to wear something that you’d never wear in real life. After all, you want to look like yourself!
2. Stick with neutral colors
Stay away from pastels and heavy patterns. Busy patterns can be a huge distraction in photos. Neutral is best – earthly greens, nudes are always great options! Be sure to iron your clothes beforehand so that there are no wrinkles, which can also be a huge distraction!
3. Bring props!
Okay, I’m not talking about those cringe props you’d see at Hobby Lobby. Props can be a box of pizza, your favorite food, champagne, your dog (I’ll love you forever if you bring your pup), your car/truck, blankets, surfboards, or really anything that shows off who you are as a couple!
4. Have options!
I always suggest bringing options. If you want to bring a couple of options I can pick and pull from the best ones. Keep in mind you’ll have plenty of dress-up photos on the wedding day so this is the perfect time to get casual, playful photos that show off your personality! Also know that you may have to change in the back of your car so if you’re not cool with that, just bring one outfit!
5. Ditch the matchy-matchy
Instead, opt for a color scheme and have your partner stick with that scheme. This will pull your outfits together perfectly without being overly matching!
